The Youth Services team facilitates a free Road Ready Course for young people aged 15-25 years who hold a current Centrelink Healthcare card and missed out on completing the course in high school (often offered in Year 10).
The Road Ready Course prepares young people for getting their learners licence, including understanding of road rules and licence requirements.
The course is generally run once each term at Belconnen Youth Centre and requires participants to complete two full days training and successfully complete the Learners Knowledge Test. After completing the course and passing the test, participants are provided with a certificate that can be taken to any Access Canberra Shopfront where they will be issued with their learner driver licence.
Contact the BCS Youth Services team for more information about upcoming Road Ready courses.
