Koori Kids (8-12 years)

This group is for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children aged 8-12 years old and aims to build links within the community focusing on mentoring healthy lifestyle choices, confidence building, positive role modeling, aspirations, creative arts and future pathways. There are two groups held during school terms.

Yurwang-Gulwan (Koori Kids – Girls) will be held on Mondays and Koori Kids (Boys) will be held on Tuesdays. Both sessions run after school.

Activities include guest speakers, excursions, art, craft and sport. There is also a strong emphasis on celebrating days and events significant to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait community.
