A fun and informative course suited to people interested in writing but who are unsure how to get started.

In a relaxed and encouraging environment, you’ll talk, workshop and complete exercises with like-minded people, gaining the confidence and ability to express yourself through words.

This course has a focus on generic writing skills without focusing on any one particular genre.

Those skills can then be applied to a range of prose styles, from short story to novel.

You will be taught by award-winning science fiction writer T.R.Napper (Tim).

Tim is an experienced educator, who teaches creative writing at the University of Canberra.

“Tim (writing as T. R. Napper) has had short fiction published in prestigious science fiction and fantasy publications in the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Austria, and Israel. He has won both Aurealis and Writers of the Future awards, and been nominated for several Ditmar Awards. His work has been selected for The Best Science Fiction of the Year (2016). Tim is represented by UK literary agent John Jarrold.

Tim Napper is also a former diplomat and aid worker, having lived and worked throughout Southeast Asia for over a decade. He is currently completing a creative writing doctorate in Noir, Cyberpunk, and Asian Modernity.”
