Belconnen Community Service (BCS) is now an Approved Home Care Package Provider.

We provide a range of in-home and social support services that enable people in our community to live independently in their own home environment for longer.

BCS offers person-centred services delivered by our committed and professional team, who are flexible in responding to individual needs and circumstances.

Our team provides assistance across a wide range of standard service options, but there is also so much more we can deliver because here at BCS we are encouraged to think like the box never existed!

Your Home Care Package is all about you – and only you know what you need – but we can work with you to make it happen.

Eligibility

Your eligibility for a Home Care Package will be based on your care needs and will be determined through an assessment with My Aged Care.

You must also be:

• An older person who needs coordinated services to help them stay at home or;
• A young person with a disability, dementia or other care needs not met through other specialist services.

Your financial situation won’t affect your eligibility, however you will need a financial assessment to work out how much you may be asked to contribute.

If you think you only need a low level of support you may be better suited for help through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme.
