About

Charnwood After School Care takes place in the school hall and surrounding outdoor areas.  The service caters for children from pre-school to year six.  Pre-schoolers enjoy a taste of big school and spending time with older siblings.  The program is not separated into different age groups and all children can participate in indoor or outdoor activities of their choice.  Afternoon tea is provided with a varied menu that includes plenty of fresh food.  Children contribute to menu planning and sometimes have their own cooking adventures.  There is one educator for every 11 children.

Children enjoy lots of physical activity in the large green space adjoining the hall.  They also like to get involved with community initiatives like Clean up Australia Day.  Each year children from the service exhibit work in the gallery@bcs Childrens Week Exhibition.  Children also develop a sense of community service by designing their own fundraising activities for the BCS giving tree at the end of each year.

There is plenty of parking for drop off and pick up in the school car park.  The program finishes at 6pm sharp and a late fee of $2 per minute is charged.
