About Belconnen Community Gallery

The Belconnen Community Gallery is at the heart of the Belconnen Community Centre. The gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of local artists, BCS program participants, and community groups.

BCS supports the gallery through its well-established marketing and publicity activities. Exhibition information is emailed regularly to around 1000 subscribers including local media. Belconnen Community Gallery also has its own Facebook group  and runs the Canberra Art Exhibitions and Openings Facebook group as well.

Exhibitions in the Belconnen Community Gallery can attract a more diverse audience than in a stand-alone gallery. Many regular visitors to the gallery are community centre users, including children from Ginninderra Early Childhood Centre and their families, people living with disability or mental illness who attend BCS programs, and people attending gym programs and social groups.

Works are displayed for a minimum booking period of two weeks.
