Resilience Film Screening
29 August 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Come along to a film screening of Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope and learn about the movement fighting the effects of childhood trauma.
The documentary takes a look at how toxic stress can trigger hormones that wreak havoc on the brains and bodies of children. Resilience also chronicles the dawn of a movement that is determined to fight back. Trailblazers in pediatrics, education, and social welfare are using cutting-edge science and field-tested therapies to protect children from the effects of toxic stress—and the dark legacy of a childhood that no child would choose.
The film will be followed by a ‘Q and A’ with the Hope Project founder Kate Seselja. The passionate mum of six has turned her 12 year struggle with gambling addiction into a mission to educate, inspire and create change.
Refreshments will be provided.
