The D2DL team create a welcoming environment for participants to improve their daily living skills while engaging in social, recreational and educational activities. Our team will also work collaboratively to:
- Create a safe and comfortable environment for recovery
- Recognise each person’s current capabilities
- Work collaboratively to create an individual support plan
- Recognise achievements and adjust goals on a regular basis
The D2DL program offers groups and activities that encourage:
- Communication Skills
- Self Esteem
- Work Ready Skills
- Exercise and Leisure
Currently activities on offer include yoga, tennis, creative writing, self-enquiry groups, lunch activities and excursions. The D2DL team are also able to help clients research, and identify and access other programs that will help them achieve their individual goals. Discretionary funds may be available to clients to pursue study options, employment or other activities which enhance client’s recovery from mental illness.
A casual drop-in space is another element of the D2DL program. Clients are welcome to drop by for tea and coffee, to have a chat, to use a computer or to get more information about other services they can access.
These programs and more are available as part of your NDIS package. Click here for more information.
