Belconnen Community Services School age care programs provide quality supervised before and after school hours care for primary school age children with in the Belconnen area. Our Programs ensure that children in school age care will have opportunities to engage in leisure and play-based experiences which are responsive to the needs, interests, and choices of the children attending the service and contribute fully to their ongoing development and a strong sense of their identity.

We are focused on middle childhood development and provide a stimulating and engaging program to accommodate the age range of the children and young people in a safe and caring environment.

Our caring and trained team endeavour to encourage all children and their families to participate in the program. We value your input and by working together in partnership we will continue to support your child’s wellbeing and learning.

We identify the importance of good nutrition and a healthy morning and afternoon tea are provided in our term programs. We cater for varying dietary requirements as required.

Before School Care operates from 7.30am until 9.00am and After School Care (afters) from 3.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday of each school term with the exception of public holidays.

Places are available within each programs license limit and subject to BCS enrolment caps.

Vacation Care Program

Our Vacation Care program provides quality supervised care for all primary school age children during the school holidays. Our Program ensures that children in Vacation Care will have opportunities to engage in leisure and play-based experiences which are responsive to the needs, interests, and choices of the children attending the service and contribute fully to their ongoing development and a strong sense of their identity.

We are focused on middle childhood development and provide a stimulating and engaging program to accommodate the age range of the children and young people in a safe and caring environment.

Our programs consist of various activities that include active sports, cooking, art and craft, theme days and Excursions just to name a few. Our Vacation Care program provides a Healthy and nutritious breakfast and afternoon tea. Parents need to supply a healthy lunch for their child.

Our Vacation Care program is located at Evatt Primary School in Heydon Cresent, Evatt and operates from 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday during school holidays excluding all public holidays.

Parents are advised to book early for Vacation Care programs as limited spaces are available.
