Road Ready

May 23 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Youth Services team facilitates a free Road Ready Course for young people aged 15-25 years who hold a current Centrelink Healthcare card and missed out on completing the course in high school (often offered in Year 10).

Our next Road Ready course will be held on the 23rd and 30th of May at Belconnen Youth Centre, both from 9am to 3pm. Participants need to hold a current Centrelink health care card, be aged between 15-25, and have been unable to complete their Road Ready through their school. The course is free for eligible participants.

The Road Ready Course prepares young people for getting their learners licence, including understanding of road rules and licence requirements.

The course requires participants to complete two full days training and successfully complete the Learners Knowledge Test.  After completing the course and passing the test, participants are provided with a certificate that can be taken to any Access Canberra Shopfront where they will be issued with their learner driver licence.
