Bridges and Castaways have had a big year. This year has seen changes in our programs as well as changes in our facilitation team. Sybilla has moved on from BCS after three and a half years of service in the team and other team members have moved on to pursue other opportunities. This has seen the introduction of new team over the year with Allana Ruddick, the new Coordinator and Kelly Diaz and Katy Anderson-Kelly all joining the team.
This new and talented team has added fresh ideas to the continuing classes and introduced a new class called the Spring Salads Cooking Group which offers the opportunity to learn new ways to make healthy salads for the warmer weather. Yummy and creative recipes add fun and new taste sensations. Our current programs including Castaways Social and Recreational groups, Be Active and Arty Smarties arts and crafts program continue to be very popular with our participants.
The Bridges and Castaways team has enjoyed getting to know program participants, their carers and other service providers during the course of the year. We look forward to further developing those and other relationships as we build a new program based in the coming year.
